Our Movement goals

The section About United People contains a description of what the statutory goals of the United People Foundation (UPF) are. In this section of the site, we will give a more detailed explanation.

Financial system
The way the current financial system works has a significant impact on almost all aspects of our lives. UPF,  by its activities, contributes - while operating within legal boundaries - to the creation of a just, efficient, simple and transparent financial system, in which all our rights as stated in the New Declaration of Human Rights (NDHR) and in the UPF goals can be achieved. UPF will do this by creating cooperatives and other organizations that provide this for the members.

Tax system and Social Security
By its activities, UPF contributes, while operating within legal boundaries, to the creation of a just, efficient, simple and transparent tax and social security system, in which all our rights as stated in the NDHR and UPF goals can be achieved. UPF will do this by creating cooperatives and other organizations that provide this for the members. UPF is aware that political initiative is needed to change legislation so that the tax and social security system will also improve for non-members of the organizations that UPF is going to create.

Consumer interests
UPF will make sure that in all nations where UPF operates (besides countries where there is already an organization that provides such), there will be an independent organization which looks after consumer interests, shows what goods and services are produced sufficiently sustainably and with sufficient social responsibility, and offers a supporting role in matching supply with demand.

Democracy
UPF activities will make a contribution to improving the workings of democracy. The activities of UPF consist of making people aware how the workings of a democracy can be improved and offering support to organizations that work towards this same goal. UPF is aware that political initiatives are needed to change legislation so that democracy can function better.
